Resources within the University of Toronto
- The Family Care Office hosts an online Expectant Parents group each semester for birth parents and non-birth parents. The FCO’s Expectant Parents group has a session focused on infant feeding.
- You can feed your baby anywhere, including breastfeeding/chestfeeding. U of T has Infant-feeding Spaces & Change Tables on all three campuses.
- The Family Care Office normally offers a workshop on Infant Sleep once per year. The workshop is led by U of T’s Professor Robyn Stremler. Read about Professor Stremler’s approach.

- Toronto Public Health offers free Breastfeeding Clinics across the city. Breastfeeding clinics offer individual consultations by TPH Public Health Nurses and/or other hospital health care staff. Families can have their baby weighed and receive breastfeeding support. Toronto Public Health also offers free telephone, video call and eChat support for infant feeding and coping after having a baby.
- Many local hospitals have breastfeeding education and support. Midwives also provide support with breastfeeding.
- Get breastfeeding advice and referrals 24 hours a day, seven days a week by visiting Health811 online or calling 811
- EarlyON Centres offer a range of services and resources, where you can: join fun activities such as reading, storytelling, sing-alongs and games, get advice from professionals trained in early childhood development, find out about other family services in your community and connect with other families with young children.
