What is ArcGIS?
ArcGIS Online is a cloud-based mapping and analysis solution. Use it to make maps, analyze data, and to share and collaborate. Get access to workflow-specific apps, maps and data from around the globe, and tools for being mobile in the field. Your data and maps are stored in a secure and private infrastructure and can be configured to meet your mapping and IT requirements.
What can you do with ArcGIS?
ArcGIS is typically used in order to explore and visualize 2D and 3D data. It also allows you to share your maps with anyone, anywhere, but it also allows you to keep your maps private. You can also work on maps collaboratively with your colleagues. It helps you to better understand your data.
How will we be using it?
For the purposes of this project, we will be creating a layer a map with a notes layer. This layer will allow us to in embed point on a map, and to link to audio and video files within the map.
ArcGIS Online is a complete, scalable and secure software-as-a-service cloud-based mapping platform which can be used to make and share maps.
