Feeling Stuck? Get Help!

There are lots of ways to get help with your research.

UTM Library Help

  • UTM Library offers an Ask a Librarian chat reference service on its website.
  • Use the Reference Desk's services via email, telephone or in-person.
  • Hundreds of university and college libraries make guides like this one available online for free; there may be a guide for your particular topic! Search the many U of T guides here. Other library research guides can be searched here.
  • If you need help with structuring or writing an assignment, try the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre.

FLC Help

  • Ask the FLC Student Assistant on duty for help; if they can't help you, they will make a referral to FLC staff.
  • Email an IMI librarian at utm.lkcflc@utoronto.ca to request a research consultation. Make sure, however, that you have tried some of the resources listed in this guide first!
  • Check out the workshops offered by the FLC to help you learn some of the core databases that we offer.
