Follow these steps to share and preserve your work by submitting to TSpace.
Navigate to TSpace. Click "Log In" from the TSpace home page. Log in with your UTORid. If you don't have a UTORid, enter your email address and password. If you do not have an account, register for one.
There are several pathways to start a new submission, including importing metadata from a published resource. Choose the one that works best for you. All options lead to a submission form that can be edited.
Regardless of how you choose to begin the process, you will be prompted to select a collection. Begin typing your desired collection and select it from the list. After selecting a collection, you'll arrive at the submission form.
Many collections require authorization before submission. If your preferred collection does not appear in the list, please complete the collection authorization form.
This descriptive information enables users to retrieve your item using search engines, such as Google Scholar, so please take the time to fill in as many fields as you can.
If you used the metadata import, some of these fields may already be pre-filled and can be modified.
If you have not already uploaded your file(s), you may now add them. Click "browse" to select a file from your device, or drag and drop the files anywhere on the page.
Save your progress and resume later any time by clicking the ‘Cancel/Save’ button at the bottom of the page. You will be able to access your unfinished submission from My TSpace workspace.

The Creative Commons offers non-exclusive licenses and you can optionally apply one to let others know how they can use, distribute, or adapt your work. To license a work, you must be its copyright holder or have express authorization from its copyright holder to do so. Remember that once assigned, the license may not be revoked.
CC0 allows the copyright holder to waive all copyright to the extent possible under law.
Creative Commons licenses (with CC BY being the most open and CC BY-NC-ND the most restrictive) leave copyright with the copyright holder (author or publisher), but specify to others how they are allowed to use the work provided they give proper credit.
When depositing a previously published work, make sure to select the specific license as/if required by the publisher.
For more information on copyright, licenses, and how to select a CC license that is best for you, see our “Who Holds Copyright?” user guide, refer to the Creative Commons website, or contact us.
To apply a license, select one from the drop-down menu, specify the permissions you are granting, and click ‘Next’.
Your agreement to this non-exclusive license is required before your item can appear on TSpace.
For more information on the TSpace non-exclusive license and to read the full text, please refer to the TSpace Policies and Procedures page.
Clicking ‘Deposit’ will submit your work into the repository right away or send it for review to the collection editor if one was assigned. You will no longer be able to modify the descriptive information or the file you have uploaded. You will receive an email with a permanent URL (a handle) that can be used to cite and share your work.
You may save your progress and return to the form at any time. To do so, select "save" (to remain on the page) or "save for later" (to exit the page). Your submission will be available in the "MyTSpace" portion of the site.
To access "My TSpace," click the icon on the top right of the page. Then, click "MyTSpace." Here you will see your saved submissions. To continue the submission process, choose "Edit."
