A guide to resources available through the Industrial Relations/Human Resources Library and the University of Toronto Library System

Selecting a Research Topic

Just getting started with research is often the most difficult step. Having a personal connection to your research makes getting started and moving through the process much easier, more meaningful, and authentic. So, while keeping within the boundaries of your assignment, begin by thinking about what you would like to learn.

Search the Research Guides for a Topic

  1. Visit U of T Research Guides page
  2. In the search box, put in your term in quotations (i.e., "essential services") and then click on the search icon.
  3. Select the Research Guide or specific page within the guide to view the content.
