This digital image collection forms part of the Memory of the Netherlands, a project of the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, the National Library of the Netherlands which is digitising important sources of the Netherlands' cultural heritage and making them freely available via this website. It comprises over 3,000 photographs of colonial life and colonial administration in the Dutch East Indies taken between 1860-1940. The database may be searched or browsed.
