Law making is the major function of the Parliament. In the process, bills are referred to committees for study and revision, parliamentary documents such as Journals, Debates and Sessional Papers are produced. The content of these materials stretches from domestic concerns to foreign relations, from statistics to treaties, provides the most detailed printed primary sources for the study of an extensive range of topics of the British empire and its diplomatic relations with all the major world powers.
