Description: Almost all student journals in Canada publish in open access, meaning that anyone, anywhere with access to the internet can read their articles for free. This may seem like an obvious choice, but it’s not: open access is a principled decision that responds to many important issues in research today. Come and learn from noted experts in the field about open access, why it is important not just for student journals but for all journals, and how you are contributing to an international movement to increase access to knowledge and redefine equitable participation in research production.
