The Canadian Research Index indexes federal, provincial and territorial government publications; hard to find publications issued by hundreds of Canadian government agencies and departments; scientific and technical reports issued by research institutes and government laboratories; Statistics Canada books, reports and serials; and policy, social, economic, and political reports. The database contains more than 250,000 records from 1982 onwards.

This website holds data harvested from the web domain of the Federal Government of Canada by Library and Archives Canada and stored in the Government of Canada Web Archive (GC WA). Client access to the content of the GC WA is provided through searching by keyword, by department name, and by URL. It is also possible to search by specific format type, e.g. .pdf.
