This guide will help students in BIOC70 to find relevant resources for the Task Force Project or Briefing Document assignment, find supportive materials in library databases, create effective search strategies, and develop their topic.

  • Select "Title" from the first drop-down menu
  • Choose "Contains exact phrase" from the next drop-down menu
  • Enter your title phrase with or without quotations
  • Select your preferred item format (if you have one)

Search for a Journal or Newspaper by Title

To search for a journal or newspaper by title:

  • Choose the elipses (...) option from the navigation menu.
  • Select the Journals search tool from the navigation menu just below the LibrarySearch header.
  • Type in the journal or newspaper title and click on the search icon.
  • Click on the title of any result to open a more detailed description of the source.

How to Request Full Text

If none of the above steps work, you can try the following:

  1. Contact your librarian or stop by the Information and Reference Desk in the library to see if they can help track down the article.

  2. Submit an interlibrary loan request for the article; to do this, you will need to create a free account on RACER. Once logged in, select "blank request form" from the left menu and enter in your article details.
