The Business Formation Statistics (BFS) are a product of the U.S. Census Bureau, developed at the Center for Economic Studies. The BFS provide timely and high frequency information on on new business applications and formations in the United States.

The CEIC China Premium Database is a Chinese statistical database which provides more than 230,000 time series of macroeconomic and industry data at national, provincial and city level. Topics include national account, government and public finance, labor market, consumer good market, foreign trade, money and banking, investment, real estate, automobile and lots more. Time series can be exported in Excel format.

The CHASS Census Analyzer allows members of the University of Toronto research community to generate custom tables from the Census of Canada (1961-2011) and the National Household Survey (2011). The interface enables the selection of relevant variables and census geographies, providing access to data down to the dissemination area (DA) level.

Global Financial Data provides access to historical stocks, commodities, and other financial time-series, as well as complete information on Consumer Prices, Wholesale Prices, Monetary Aggregates, Production, and other measures of the economy for 200 countries. The database distinguishes itself from other data providers in extending data series further back than any other source. Data can be downloaded in .xls or .csv formats, or graphed in-browser.

ODESI is a repository of over 3,500 Canadian social science datasets, including Statistics Canada microdata files and statistical tables, as well as a range of public opinion polling data. ODESI allows users to search for survey questions (variables) across thousands of datasets and supports basic tabulation and analysis online. It also allows for the downloading of most datasets into statistical software for further analysis.

The Scholars GeoPortal provides access to large scale geospatial datasets, as well as sophisticated search, discovery and analysis tools. Resources include data licensed by Ontario academic libraries, such as land-based vector data (water, cultural features, etc.), census geography, and orthophotography.
