Books - print or electronic - can be excellent starting points for your research but can also offer in-depth analyses of a topic or include various original or republished article-length essays.
To find books, use LibrarySearch which searches the Library's catalogue, the Library's own website and more!
You can also use LibrarySearch to find journals and articles but in most cases, the databases found in this guide may be a better bet.
New to LibrarySearch or want a refresher? Check out this guide with search tips, quick videos and more.
If you identify a book that is relevant, take advantage of the Shelf Browse feature found to the left of the record. This allows you to browse books remotely.
Once you have clicked on 'Shelf Browse', a panel of books with adjacent call numbers will appear. Click on the individual books to see the full records. NOTE: Shelf Browse may not appear for all print books.
For those who may wish to browse the physical stacks when the Library reopens, a list of call numbers has been provided below. Because the MMI program is multi-discipinary in nature, what follows should not be considered exhaustive.
