Access the China Academic Journals Database (CAJ, 中国学术期刊数据库) via the CNKI advanced search page. Use the tab "学术期刊" below the search panel to focus search results on Chinese academic journal publications. CAJ is the comprehensive Chinese journal database covering all disciplines. The database (1911-1949) is produced by Shanghai Library and contains its digitized collection of Chinese periodicals published in the Republican period between 1911 and 1949. The contents represent all disciplines and subjects at the time. The running length of each journal title varies, depending on the history of the journal as well as its available holdings at Shanghai Library.

Ling Long : Chinese Women's Magazine (玲瓏)
Ling Long is a Chinese magazine on women published in Shanghai between the tumultuous years of 1931 and 1937. Today, the magazine is a valuable resource for researchers studying social life and women’s issues of Shanghai in the Republican‐era (1911‐49) . This digitized collection of Ling Long by Columbia University is one of the most complete holdings of the magazine outside China.

Wen shi zhe xue bao, an academic journal published by the National Taiwan University , focuses on the study of Chinese literature, arts, history, philosophy, archaeology and so on. The journal publishes two issues every year in May and November.
