A user's guide to the Library Reading List app in Quercus.

Move a Reading

Editing your Library Reading List:

To Move a Reading: Hover over the ‘Drag’ icon to the left of the citation and move the reading to the new section. 

You can also select the ‘Move Item’ menu from the ellipses to the right of the citation. Select the week you would like to move the citation to.

Create a New Section

To Create a New Section: Select the +Add menu under the course information and select ‘New Section’. Fill in the information that appears on the next screen and select ‘Add’.

Make Changes to an Existing Section

To Make Changes on an Existing Section: Click on the ellipses on the right side of the section and select ‘Edit Section’. Here you can change the name of the section or add any additional information in the description field. Select ‘Save’.

 

Editing Citations

To Edit any of the Citations: By selecting the ellipses on the right of the citation you can move the citation to a different section, delete it, or edit the citation.

If selecting the ‘Edit Item’ action, under the tab ‘Item Actions’ you can enter a public note for students or add tags, such as ‘Recommended’ or ‘Required’ reading. Select ‘Save’.

Leaving a Note for Library Staff

Leaving a Note for Library Staff: Select the menu ‘Full Details’ to the left side of the citation.

Under the tab ‘Library Discussion’ type a note to the library staff and select the   Send   icon. Please note you can also email our team (syllabus.service@library.utoronto.ca) if you have a more detailed or urgent question.
