The instructions below reflect the Library Reading List app's new user interface, which will launch in the Winter 2025 semester. To preview how your list will look in the New UI, see "Previewing the New UI."
Accessing the Library Reading List App in Quercus: Log into Quercus and select your course → click on ‘Library Reading List’ to open the tool in Quercus.
Creating a Library Reading List:
Step 1: Select the ‘Create List’ icon near the top left of the screen.
Step 2: On the next screen under ‘List Name’ enter the code and name for your course. The ‘List Description’ would be the term when the course is being offered. To connect the reading list to your course, type in the course code and select it from the drop-down menu. Click ‘Next’.
Step 3: ‘Create Sections’ for the course depending on whether your course is for a full year (12 weeks) or for just one semester (6 weeks). Otherwise select ‘Default’ and sections can be added as you create the Reading List. Click ‘Create List’.
Step 4: In order to have the list reviewed by Library Staff select 'My List is Ready.'
On the next pop-up window click 'Send' in order to have your reading list reviewed by Library Staff. You also have the option of publishing your list to students by checking the box 'Also Publish to Students'.
Please note Library Staff will also publish the list to students once it has been reviewed.
