A user's guide to the Library Reading List app in Quercus.

Fall 2024 User Interface Change

Please note that the instructions below are for the "Classic" user interface of the Library Reading List, used from September 2021-August 2024. This portion of the guide will no longer be available as of September 2024. Please consult our updated pages on using the New User Interface for courses beginning in September 2024.

Student View

  • Locate your list in the Library Reading List app
  • Click the ⋯ ellipsis at the top of the list to see the drop-down menu → Click "View List as a Student" near the bottom.

Why Can’t Students See the Readings?

As an instructor, you see all the features of the list, including what isn't available to students yet, as well the citations/materials that are still processing.

  • Ensure your list is Published and made available on Quercus.
  • Citations with a status of "Complete" are visible to students. All other statuses (Being Prepared, Ready For Processing, In Process) mean library staff are still working on approving or fulfilling the citations.
