Walters Art Museum Illuminated Manuscripts.
"The Walters Art Museum possesses a diverse collection of Illuminated Manuscripts from around the world, dating back to the 9th century. Thanks to Preservation and Access Grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, full digital surrogates of these manuscripts are being created and released to the public under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported license. As part of our commitment to free access, we are hosting jpegs of a selection of images on our Flickr site. Please enjoy them, and feel free to incorporate them into your work and play. For free access to high-resolution archival TIFF images of our manuscripts, please visit the Digital Walters at www.thedigitalwalters.org/01_ACCESS_WALTERS_MANUSCRIPTS.html For a digital page-turning experience of our manuscripts, please visit the Walters Art Museum’s Works of Art website at art.thewalters.org/browse/category/manuscript-and-rare-books/.
