Jackman Scholars-in-Residence ~ The Art and Science of Museum Objects and Seeing Potential: Asking/Investigating/Exhibiting the Malcove Collection

This guide is intended for those enrolled in the 2019 iteration of the Jackman Institute for Humanities Scholars in Residence Program working with Dr. Alen Hadzovic and Dr. Erin Webster.

Adding a page to the Exhibit

Before you add content about the objects that you are researching, you will have to add pages to the exhibit. Here are the steps that you can follow:

1. From the Omeka Dashboard, select the Exhibit tab. All of the exhibits in the U of T Omeka installation are listed here, so make sure to choose the right one. Your first step is to select "Edit" (NOT delete :) ).

2. You will be taken to the Exhibit's information. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and select the "add page" button.

3. You will have to fill in some basic information about your page. First, enter the Title of the page (usually the title of your object) and the page slug. The slug is the part of the url that comes at the end of the address. Don't forget to save your work. adding page info

4. Once you have saved your page, you can go back to the Malcove Exhibit, and can drag and drop the page into the right section. You can create sub-pages and sub-sub pages this way:
