This guide is intended for those enrolled in the 2019 iteration of the Jackman Institute for Humanities Scholars in Residence Program working with Dr. Alen Hadzovic and Dr. Erin Webster.

Finding Books

Use the Library Catalogue in order to find books!

Enter Keywords in order to find the book that you need: 

How to find books

1. Ensure that you are using the "Catalogue" tab. When you are using this tab, you are searching for books specifically.

2. Enter Keywords in the search box. The could be the name of a specific artist, or aspect of public art.

3. Select search to run the search.

Once you have your search results, you can refine your search. You can refine by Library (U of T Scarborough), Subject, Publication Year, etc.

Once you select UofT Scarborough, you will see a list of items that are located at the U of T Scarborough Library:

In order to find the book you want:

1. Find the call number (the alphanumeric number in the first column).

2. Make sure that it is located at U of T Scarborough by checking the location.

3. If the book is in the "Stacks" that means that it circulates and you can borrow it from the library.

4. If you see "IN" that means that the book is available.

Intercampus Delivery

If you are interested in getting a book that is located at Robarts, UTM , or any of the other libraries downtown, you can use the library's very convenient service: Intercampus Delivery. This service allows you to request a book from other libraries for pick-up at U of T Scarborough library, saving you much time.

1. When you find an item you want in the catalogue, click on the title.

2. Click on the "Request" button to have the book shipped to U of T Scarborough.

3. You will be asked to fill out a request from online, which includes your Tcard barcode, so have it handy.
