This guide is intended for those enrolled in the 2019 iteration of the Jackman Institute for Humanities Scholars in Residence Program working with Dr. Alen Hadzovic and Dr. Erin Webster.

Adding Items to Omeka

In order to be able to help build our exhibit, you will need to add items to Omeka. Here are some step-by-step instructions that should make this process straightforward. 

1. Click on "Add Item" from Omeka Dashboard

Click on Add Item from Omeka homepage

2. From the following screen, select "Add Item"

3. Enter your metadata using the guidelines posted here.

4. Select the "File" tab and attach the digital image of the object. 

5. Once you have filled out all of the metadata fields and attached the file, choose the right collection from the drop down menu (Malcove Collection - JHI Scholars in Residence) and click on "Add Item"
