Use the Free Text box in order to build your search statement.
1. Enter your search terms. Make sure you connect key concepts with AND, OR, or NOT. If you enter concepts without joining them with one of these operators, Factiva will search the terms as a phrase.
Tip: You can use the * symbol to truncate words, bringing back numerous variations of that word.
e.g. journali* will retrieve journalism, journalist, journalists, etc.
Tip: You can use the ? wildcard symbol to retrieve variant spellings of a word.
e.g behavi?r will retrieve behaviour or behavior
2. Limit by your date range.
3. Select your source type. This can be done on a very granular level, down to a specific newspaper or similar media outlet.
You can refine your search by Subject, Source, Date, etc.
