If you are preparing for a defense or comprehensive exam it is a good idea to do an "Author Search" for articles written by the members of your examining committee. Some examining committee members may ask you questions about your research through the lens of their own research, so you may want to read some of their publications to get a better understanding of their work.
Author searches can be done in:
- Scopus - Select "Authors" and fill in the required information for a list of publications
- Web of Science - Select "Author Search" and follow the prompts for a list of publications
- PubMed - Select "Advanced" and limit your search to "Author"
- OVID (Medline, Embase, etc.) - Limit your search to "Author"
