Health Policy, Management & Evaluation (HPME)

Welcome & Guide Updates

This guide will help students to learn how to apply searching best practices when looking for relevant health and health care-related literature. It also includes sources of information on a variety of topics, including health system design, policy and health economics, and health services.

Key Tips:

  • Still developing your project's research question, and need to do some background research first?

    • Begin by looking in LibrarySearch for books, journals, and a selection of journal articles

  • Need to find more journal literature?

    • Check out some subject-specific databases to find journal articles on your topic (HPME students will use databases from many disciplines).

  • Have trouble finding relevant literature?

  • Need journal articles or books that we don't have access to?

    • Order items not found at the University of Toronto through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service

  • Need to organize your citations and write your paper?

  • Working with a team?

    • Reserve a Gerstein Library group study room
