The best way to start your searches in any database is to collect keywords that will give you an exhaustive search. The illustration below shows you the structure of a successful search for non-scholarly documents in multidisciplinary databases like ProQuest. You need to select sets of synonyms (connected with the Boolean OR operator) for every key idea in your search, and combine them using AND or PROXIMITY OPERATORS such as PRE/n or NEAR/n.
