PSY345 Exceptionality: Disability and Giftedness – Finding Non-Scholarly Narratives

This guide collects together resources useful in PSY345 where non-scholarly narratives and cases are the basis of term paper.

How to use the suggested databases to find case studies

Hover over the arrow on the "Using Databases" tab above to see the drop down menu listing several databases and information on the best way to conduct your searches.

The best way to start your searches in any database is to collect keywords that will give you an exhaustive search. The illustration below shows you the structure of a successful search for non-scholarly documents in multidisciplinary databases like ProQuest. You need to select sets of synonyms (connected with the Boolean OR operator) for every key idea in your search, and combine them using AND or PROXIMITY OPERATORS such as PRE/n or NEAR/n.
