Certification and Patient Care Standards (CPCS) of Emergency Health Services is responsible for the Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistants (AEMCA), Advanced Care Paramedics (ACP) and Aeromedical examinations.
The Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA) Theory Examination is offered three (3) times per year by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC). Successful completion of this exam (minimum score 70%) is required to be eligible for employment as a Primary Care Paramedic in Ontario.
