Data and Statistics in Education

Provides basic data and statistics on school boards and student populations.

The Ministry of Education gauges the progress of school boards through eight key indicators. The results are presented for the current year only.

The aggregated student results of province wide achievement tests "in reading, writing and mathematics in relation to Ontario Curriculum expectations."

"EQAO research projects examine the factors that influence student achievement and education quality, and the statistical and psychometric processes that result in high-quality assessment data." EQAO maintains a Data Portal for Researchers where data definitions for some of their research is available.

Part of a provincial initiative to make government data publicly accessible. The catalog contains enrollment and contact information for schools in Ontario.
