You will need to choose relevant search terms to begin your investigation. Below are three sample searches that you might make.
1. Using geographic information system
2. Using geographic information system usability speed
3a. Using geographic information system usability speed with date limits
3b. The result count for 3a.
1. Using the search terms geographic information system yielded over 47,000,000 results. These results might provide a useful place to begin, and some of the top results certainly look relevant; however, you will have many choices to consider.
2. By including the search terms usability and speed we narrowed the search to 4,500,000. More importantly, the top results are now showing GIS applications, not so easily visible in our first search.
3a. By using Tools, we can limit the time range of our search. Here, we have limited it to sources that have been dated between 2014 and 2018.
3b. This screenshot shows the reduced number of results from our time limited search. Most importantly, these results, all from the past three years, are more likely to be relevant to a current State of the Art Review.
