VIC 159 - Rare Books Seminar (Spring 2016)

VIC 159 is a Vic One 100 Special Topics Seminar taught by President William Robins, Spring 2016

Find Relevant Unpublished Material

In order to narrate the story of your chosen book, you can consult relevant unpublished, manuscript or archival material. Please consult the "Collections for Assignment" handout and/or speak to a Librarian in order to match your books with related Special Collections at Vic.

Then, you can search our Special Collections home page for the finding aid to help you navigate your related archival collection.

For example, if you have chosen a book from the Book Collection of Virginia and Leonard Woolf, you could see if there are any relevant letters in either the Virginia Woolf or Leonard Woolf archival collection. Or, if you want to read about one of the donors of the Book Collections you can view material from our Mary Rowell Jackman archival collection.

Finding and using association material to narrate the story of your chosen book is an exciting way to do research on your book or collection.
