Facing History and Ourselves
This non-profit organization that develops educational material on prejudices and injustice in society, with a focus on Nazi Germany and The Holocaust which is mainly aimed towards a middle and high school level education. Their Holocaust Resource Collection features a vast variety of useful tools for educators
Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre
Another useful website which allows the user to search the Education Centre's collection, exhibits, publications, events and survivor testimonies. There is a collection of items for teachers, including: teaching resources, online exhibits and videos, professional development events, and school tours.
Holocaust Forgotten
This website is entirely devoted to providing information on the non-Jewish victims of the Holocaust.
Sarah and Chaim Newberger Holocaust Education Centre
This Toronto based organization offers a variety of resources for educators. It provides the option to book a tour of its museum located in Toronto, insightful exhibits, and many useful items for students and educators. There are also tours offered for educators to sites of Jewish memory, including to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Schindler’s Factory. This organization also has the Ekstein library provides access to its collection of video testimonies, other films and educational materials. Various online education resources are also available, including links to other organizations, Teaching Trunks, and lesson plans.

The Holocaust Cybrary Remembering the Survivors. An excellent site for information relating to Holocaust education, art, books by survivors, accounts of witnesses, photos, and children of survivors.
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
This is an incredibly useful website that provides introductory information about the Holocaust, teacher's resources, information for students, a timeline and maps. Online features and exhibits are also included. Their is also an option to search their extensive collections of the Museum's artifacts, oral histories, documents, and publications.
Yad Vashem
This organization is committed to safeguarding the memories of the Holocaust. Its website has a whole host of useful resources: including digital collections, online exhibitions, education resources and much more.
The Holocaust section contains survivor testimonies, photos, artifacts, a timeline, art and more related to the subject.
Azrieli Foundation: Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program
The Holocaust Survivor Memoirs Program collects, preserves and shares the memoirs and diaries written by survivors of the Holocaust. Their resources for educators include books, education programs and lesson plans, the digital platform Re:Collection and short films.
Let Them Speak: An Anthology of Holocaust Testimonies
Let Them Speak is a large scale digital project and anthology of nearly 3000 Holocaust testimonies published by Yale Fortunoff Archive. The project was developed through a joint effort by three institutions: Yale Fortunoff Archive, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, USC Shoah Foundation, bringing together testimonies from their individual collections. This digital archive is a powerful and useful resource for educators, researchers and students seeking to navigate a large body of testimonies that document the Holocaust from the victims' perspective.

A Teacher’s Guide to the Holocaust
An overview of the people and events of the Holocaust through photographs, documents, art, music, movies, and literature. Has content on non-Jewish victims, but they are not represented in the voices of victims tabs which contains testimonies. Contains an annotated timeline, activities, resources, teacher’s and student’s resources.
This guide was produced by the Florida Center for Instructional Technology, College of Education, University of South Florida.
Anne Frank Guide
This multi-language website, produced by the Anne Frank House, includes an annotated timeline, photos and biographical background on Anne Frank and her family, information on World War II and the Holocaust, and more.
Facing History and Ourselves Educator Resources
This set of educator resources is a very rich source for any teacher educating about tolerance, genocide and the Holocaust. This includes featured projects, lessons and units, teaching strategies, various readings on the subjects, and links to audio and video which can assist educators. These are searchable by key word.

This resource collection includes many valuable resources for educators, including links to relevant books, videos, online videos, and various related websites.
Holocaust Teacher Resource Center's Lesson Plans
Provides materials that can be used in the classroom, including lesson plans and other documents.
Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre Lesson Plans
There are currently 3 lesson plans. There is a two part lesson plan which is an introduction to the Holocaust. The additional lesson plan is dedicated to teaching about the Theresienstadt concentration camp.
Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre Teaching Trunks
These are resource trunks with materials dedicated to educating about the Holocaust. There is a Comprehensive Trunk and a Language Arts Trunk. These trunks are aimed at middle school and high school classes and can be borrowed for 6 weeks.
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Identification Cards Exhibit
The Identification Cards Exhibit chronicles the experiences of people who lived in Europe during the Holocaust with the goal of adding a personal element to the facts. These ID cards can be searched by group.
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Online Holocaust Encyclopedia
This online Holocaust Encyclopedia provided by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum provides thorough contextual information on many key aspects of the Holocaust. It is a highly useful tool for educators.
United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Resources for Educators
Contains teacher’s guides attached to the museums online and physical exhibits, activities, lesson plans, and materials by topic.
Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre's Discovery Kits
Discovery Kits: Two kits of Holocaust artifacts that can be sent to schools to allow children to interact with pieces of history.
Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre's Online Exhibits
These online media tools and exhibits examine specific themes and historical events. There are online exhibits on the Nuremberg trials, Holocaust survivors, and orphans. These exhibits include bibliographies, photos, videos, teacher's guides and web links.
Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre's Online Survivor Testimonies
This website has approximately 200 testimonies of Holocaust survivors from around the Vancouver area. Two testimonies are highlighted
Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre's Teacher's Guides
Contains 25 teacher’s guides for various subjects of the Holocaust. Many are specific to Canada’s involvement.
Yad Vashem’s Education and E-Learning Section
This website contains lesson plans, educational materials, online courses, and bibliographies.

Relevant Online Projects

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s "Remember Me: Displaced Children of the Holocaust" project
The Museum made 1,100 photographs public with the hopes of being able to identify the displaced children of the Holocaust, gather any information about their experiences both during and after World War II, and potentially help the survivors themselves, their families, and those who assisted them to reconnect.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s World Memory Project
World Memory Project allows people, and specifically students, to help make the museum’s records searchable by name online. This allows for increased opportunities for families of survivors and victims to discover what happened to their loved ones during one of the Holocaust. It has a section specifically for students and provides a unique chance for them to get involved in a project where they can make a real difference to those impacted by the Holocaust.
