The UTSC Library holds more than 14,070 maps covering many areas of the world. Most maps can be found by searching our maps database which can be searched by geographical area, title and subject.
The UTSC Library also holds more than 400 atlases, gazetteers, geographical dictionaries and cartographic reference books, many of which are for reference purposes only, and all of which may be found by searching the catalogue.
The Map and Data Library is part of the Reference and Research Department at the Robarts Library, University of Toronto Libraries. The Map and Data Library collections are divided into three main areas: digital data, geospatial data, and paper maps.
Services include helping students, faculty, staff and the general public in locating and using maps, data, and geospatial data and software.
The Map and Data Library reference area, computer lab, staff offices and collections are located on the 5th floor of the Robarts Library.
The Data Library Services web pages provide access to quantitative research data (both statistics and microdata) and the Map Library web pages contain the geospatial data collection and the scanned map inventory.
