There is a considerable amount of historical material in Cree available online or in microfilm. Most of this material dates from the 18th century up until the turn of the 20th century. Much of this is religious material, translations of the bible, hymn books, etc. There are also grammars, vocabularies, or other language learning material, and travel narratives. To find them, enter the words 'cree language' or 'cree language texts' in the library cataloque. You can then narrow down your focus by using the subjects or authors on the side bar.
