ChemDraw Installation and Renewal

A how-to guide on installing the latest version of ChemDraw and how to renew each year in November.

Chemdraw installation for Macs

1. New users: Click here to register using your University of Toronto email address.

PerkinsElmer Flexnet Registration  

Once registered, sign up at the Flexera Download Center page to set up your password.

Existing users: Log in to the PerkinElmer Download Centre. Note: PerkinElmer recently updated their login system. If you already have a PerkinElmer Download Centre account associated with your your UofT email address, you may need to sign up again as a new user. Visit the login page, click the Sign Up tab and then enter the username and password you previously used to log in.

2. Once you have registered and then logged in, click the first Download Now link listed next to ChemDraw Professional. Then click on ChemDraw Professional from the New Versions tab on the next page and download the Mac OSX installer (.dmg file).

3. Navigate back to the List Entitlement page from the menu on the left and copy the Product Activation code for ChemDraw Professional.

4. Run the installation and enter the activation code when required. Both PCs and Macs use the same activation code.

5. Open ChemDraw.

If you encounter an error when downloading or installing the software, contact Maddy Gerbig, (or Sarah Forbes if you are affiliated with UTSC) for assistance stating your operating system and your Chemdraw Version.
