You can use the search tips in the Getting Started section to search in Google and other research databases available through UofT Libraries (UTL). It's important to remember that the UTL databases have filters to narrow down your search result by year, document type, subject tags / headings, and more.
You can always visit the Engineering & Computer Science Library's Research Help Desk (hours), email your librarian, or visit one of the other UofT Libraries to get help.
