Introduction
The guide is a companion to the library research seminar taught by Agatha Barc and Colin Deinhardt (Reader Services and Instruction Librarians, Victoria University Library). Download the presentation slides from the session if you would like to review the recommended strategies and tools for completing your final assignment.
The materials included in the guide are intended to assist you with completing the assignments associated with the course. They are highly selective and we have chosen them based on the content, subject matter, and the description of the course, as outlined in the syllabus.
Research Resources & Tools in the Guide
The content of the guide consists of digital reference sources associated with the main works of literature studied in the course: Don Quixote, Madame Bovary, and Nights at the Circus. It also provides links to additonal tools resources that include sources on these and other novels, such as journal databases.
To help you learn about citing sources using the MLA style of documentation, the guide contains links to the electronic edition of the MLA Handbook, along with helpful advice on writing academic essays.
