Experiential Learning

Explore experiential learning resources and opportunities at the University of Toronto for students, faculty, staff, and external partners.

This white paper proposes that the University of Toronto should grow its experiential, work integrated, and community-engaged learning offerings, and that this growth would collectively enhance both the student learning experience and the University’s ability to support broader community and societal needs.

Students enrolled in an Experiential Learning (EL) course may borrow a laptop at any time during the course. Students must submit the following forms to library staff.

Experiential learning comes in many forms and can take place in various settings — including the library’s Makerspace. The Makerspace provides a variety of options for students in multiple disciplines to learn through hands-on opportunities. Whether scanning, stitching or 3D printing, students engaged in experiential learning through making foster critical analytical skills, fill knowledge gaps and practice synthesizing information.
