This research guide aims to provide a variety of resources to those researching Canadian animal law and the wide range of related topics. In this guide, you will find key secondary sources, namely, books, encyclopedias, journal articles, as well as primary sources of law such as federal and provincial legislation, including statutes, regulations and bills, and full text of leading cases in the area of Canadian animal law.
This research guide also serves as a gateway to the Canada Edition of the Brooks Animal Law Digest, a premier online publication dedicated to offering in-depth and up-to-date coverage on the most important developments in Canadian animal law and policy.
This research guide was developed and maintained by the Bora Laskin Law Library in partnership with University of Toronto Faculty of Law Professor Angela Fernandez, a leading scholar in animal law, and Animal Law Research Associates Krystal-Anne Roussel (currently on leave) and Kira Berkeley, whose positions at the Faculty of Law are funded by the Brooks Institute for Animal Rights, Law & Policy.
