Search Concepts to Consider

Try different terms. Some to consider for compensation generally include employee pay, salaries and wages.

It is also recommended you look in your textbook and course notes for different components of compensation strategy, such as benefits, paid leave, equity, pay structures, base pay, incentives, and more, to come up with appropriate keywords for your search.

Concepts you may wish to include:

The name of the industry

Ex: apparel, manufacturing, banking, etc

Compensation Strategy concepts

compensation model, compensation management, benefit*, compensation plan, wage & salary administration, incentive*, bonus, reward, pay

Situational Factors concepts

psychological aspects, risk factors, success factors, sociopolitical factors, socioeconomic factors, sociocultural factors

Employee Needs concepts

consumer-driven health plans, employee involvement, participatory management, employee problems, needs analysis

"Trendy" or Current Needs concepts

trend*, business indicators, contemporary problems

Performance concepts

incentive, merit, motivation

Sustainability concepts

long term planning, strategic planning, sustainability management

Geographic location

Canada, Illinois, South Asia, etc
