What is Demographic Data?

Demographics is defined as statistical data about the characteristics of a population, such as the age, gender and income of the people within the population. When the census assembles data about people's ages and genders, this is an example of assembling information about demographics.

Statistics Canada
Statistics Canada is Canada's National statistical agency. A great place to start when looking for data on most subjects including but not limited to economics, trade, demographics, health and education.
Canadian Census Program

United States

United States Bureau of Labor Statistics
The Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor is the principal Federal agency responsible for measuring labor market activity, working conditions, and price changes in the economy
United States Census
The US Census is run every 10 years, and is the primary source for population and demographic data.

EuroStat
Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg. Its task is to provide the European Union with statistics at European level that enable comparisons between countries and regions.
International Data Base (US Census)
The IDB provides access to a variety of demographic indicators for 224 countries and areas of the world, including birth, death, migration, life expectancy, fertility, populations and marital status by age and sex.
International Labour Organization Statistics
An International Labour Office database on labour statistics operated by the ILO Bureau of Statistics, provides data and meta-data for over 200 countries or territories.
