The Education Resources Information Center, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, is one of the largest Education-specific databases. It covers scholarly journals, reports, dissertations and theses, and conference proceedings. Coverage of professional teaching magazines is very limited. Its focus is on US materials with some Canadian and international content.

Relevant for anyone whose topic focuses on a psychological dimension of writing (e.g. the role of motivation in writing).
