Databases

When should I use databases?

  • When you are looking for articles
  • When you are conducting an expansive search on your topic
  • When you are looking for an in-depth picture of the research on a topic

Choosing a Database

  • Choose a database that has a focus which is in alignment with your research question
  • This will be easier to do if you have already clarified your question
  • Each database has both unique and overlapping content. Therefore, it might be necessary to search in more than one to find all the information on your topic
