MIE542: Human Factors Integration

Tips for Finding Reliable Websites

  • use websites that cite their source

  • avoid citing commercial websites or ones covered with ads. Look more for reliable sources like websites addresses that end with: .org (non-profit), .edu (educational institutions), or .gov (government)

  • do not cite Wikipedia or similar user-edited sites. Instead take a look for citations/ references so you can see what they used for sources

  • bibliographies/references on websites can lead you to more sources.
