Research and Writing Help

Proper citation is just one piece of academic research.  Before you can cite anything, you need to know how to find appropriate sources and how to write academic papers. 

U of T offers extensive support to help you improve your research and writing skills:

  • U of T's writing website walks you through the academic writing process, from planning your research to citing your sources.
  • The Academic Success Centre offers workshops and one-on-one sessions on research, writing, time management and study skills for graduate students.
  • The School of Graduate Studies' Office of English Language and Writing Support offers courses, workshops and one-on-one consultations on writing and oral presentation skills.
