RLG101H5: Introduction to the Study of Religion

A guide to assist students with research for assignments in RLG101 on the UTM campus.

Introduction

Hello, RLG101 students!

This library guide is designed to help you find academic sources for the Food & Religion Project assignments and to complement the library module in Quercus.

This guide provides many links that you can click to access UofT library resources. Academic resources are arranged by types of information: Encyclopedias & Handbooks, Books, and Journal Articles (See the tabs on your left-hand side).

Questions? The UTM Library provides many types of help, as you can see in the box below. Please take advantage of this help, instead of trying to find things out on your own.

Library 101

Interested in developing your research skills? Consider registering for Library 101 workshops!

Library 101 is an in-person and online program that offers foundational skills in academic research.  You already know how to find everyday information on Google, but these sessions will give you tools to understand how scholarly information is produced and valued, how it can be discovered effectively, and how you can use generative AI ethically. Attend 3 sessions by April 2025 to receive a CCR notation.

Learn more about the program and the workshops offered on the UTM Library website.
