Advanced LibrarySearch

LibrarySearch is our library's "discovery layer": a catalogue that allows you to search for books as well as journal articles and book chapters at the same time.

The Advanced Search interface allows you to select whether you are searching for books or articles, and focus your search on titles, or elements of the subject (drawn from the Library of Congress Subject Headings):

Select the Advanced Search option by clicking on the icon below the default search bar:

In the Advanced Search environment, you can customize your search by selecting the language (could be Italian), format (I recommend starting with books), and terms that you want in the title or subject fields:

If you are working with print books, you can also select the library in which you want your print books to be.

Ordering Print Books from Other UofT Libraries

If you log into the LibrarySearch interface with your UTORid and password, you can request document delivery (books to be delivered for free from other UofT libraries to UTM), or save the books you find, as well as searches, in your account.
