Pitching is both an art and a skill that is valuable in a multitude of situations - whether you are an entrepreneur looking for investors or partners, a new professional looking to network and connect with your dream job, or whether you want to describe research that you’ve been working on over the last term. The art of pitching is an essential skill that requires a combination of research and persuasion skills, and asks you to connect with your empathy and soft skills to forge connections. Join Roundtable records to learn the “Art of the Pitch,” where you will get to practice understanding and consider the needs and interests of your target audience, as well as having a chance to craft a clear and concise message that will get you to where you want to be. Learn about the power of empathy, body language, tonality, crowd engagement and emphasis to develop your messaging, as well as learning about the importance of research and how the UTSC library can support your journey.
