Help in the Library

Ask us for help!

Need help? You can get in touch with us in many different ways! Chat, email, phone, or just drop in and say hello in person! Check our reference hours to see when we'll be available.

Chat

Use the chat widget you see on the right side of most of our pages to chat with us directly! This service is available from 12 noon until 7pm on weekdays, with limited support during the same hours on Saturday and Sunday. If you want to be able to move from page to page and keep chatting with us, click the green arrow in the bottom right-hand side of the chat box to pop out a chat window.

Email

If we're not on chat, it doesn't mean we're not available! You can drop us an email at askutml.utm@utoronto.ca and will get back to you!

Phone

Want to ask your question over the phone? Call us! Our number is (905) 828-5236, and you can see when we'll be there to pick up the phone by checking our reference hours.

In Person

Library staff are available to answer your questions, to provide research assistance and instruction in the use of information resources. The Reference & Research Desk is located on the main floor of the Library, right where you walk in the door. Come see us!
