Developing a Topic

Rules for Choosing a Topic

  1. The topic should reflect your previous studies and experience.
  2. The necessary sources should be materially accesisible.
  3. The necessary sources should be manageable.

So What?

  1. Start with a research idea.
  2. Ask "so what?"
  3. If you can answer, then keep asking "so what?"
  4. When you can no longer respond to "so what?" you most likely have a good research questions.
