This guide is intended to help you locate information sources to support your work in PLA1101 and beyond.
Scholarly literature on the history of planning can be found by searching the library for books and journal articles. But there is also a significant body of literature outside the scholarly publishing realm - publications from government bodies as well as professional and policy organizations are important sources of research and analysis in the planning field. Searching historical collections also provides access to primary sources (examples of plans and policies representing particular periods in time). Finally, in this course you will also be considering more information sources of planning communication, including newspapers, blogs and other online media sources.
