Watch the video below starting at 0:57. The link can be accessed from the Data Sources page. The video focuses on finding data on Indigenous peoples; however, the keywords can be changed depending on your topic, such as type of role, industry, etc.

There are many other words that yield interesting results such as: vacancies, hiring, recruitment, labour trends, labour market. These can be combined with a specific industry term or role type.

Ex: biology employment results in hits about job definitions, employment trends, salaries of recent graduates, etc.

 

Industry Research Databases: EMIS, Frost & Sullivan and IBISWorld

Industry research workshop that focuses on finding information about the EV industry. As with all research, keywords can be adapted for the industry you are researching. 

Simply Analytics

SimplyAnalytics is a tool used to create maps and tables based on Canadian geographic, demographic, and business data. This resource combines census level population data with market research to help create visualizations.

 

Finding e-Books on Specific Topics

You can combine any keywords that relate to your topic. Potential keywords to search include job category, type or area, as well as industry name.

 

Academic Research
