The Education Resources Information Center database provides access to scholarly and trade journals in the field of education, and also has broad coverage of grey literature from a variety of sources, including reports, technical papers, dissertations and theses, and conference proceedings.
Full-text access to research providing a Canadian perspective on topics including agriculture, business and economics, education, government and politics, health sciences, history, literature, medical sciences, social sciences, and more.
You can also use the Search Articles tool from the Library homepage, while it's not exhaustive, it searches many databases at once. It is strongly recommended to limit it to "scholarly journals" on the left side under "Search Filters"
If you are not sure whether a journal article is peer-reviewed or not, this database is very helpful. You simply enter the title of the journal in which the article appears and look in the appropriate column.
For 'peer reviewed' they use the term 'refereed'.
